Community Outreach

The City Attorney's Office is committed to transparency in city government and constructive dialogue with Oakland residents.

The City Attorney Barbara J. Parker regularly attends meetings of NCPCs, business associations, churches and neighborhood groups to talk about issues in our community and initiatives from the City Attorney's Office.

Anti-Moth Spraying Coalition

Don't Spray First & Ask Questions Later

In 2008 the Oakland City Attorney's Office organized a coalition of Bay Area cities to oppose the state's moth spraying plan. The state planned to drop massive amounts of an untested chemical on Oakland and other cities prior to conducting an environmental review. read more
