Oakland Fair Lending Coalition

Many Oakland families have lost their homes in the ongoing foreclosure crisis.

A large number of those families were victims of unethical predatory lenders, who have targeted Oakland with sub-prime loans, questionable deals and outright fraud.

In 2007, the City Attorney's Office organized the Oakland Fair Lending Coalition to lobby for new laws in Sacramento, to help homeowners who are facing foreclosure and to protect the rights of renters in foreclosed buildings. read more
