Outreach
Effective community outreach is essential to meet the additional responsibilities
associated with the change to an elected City Attorney (from one appointed
by the City Council).
This change has three primary benefits to the community:

Increased accountability to the taxpayers of Oakland

Improved performance to protect our pocketbooks
To meet these raised expectations from the community, the Oakland City
Attorney's Office is committed to building two-way dialogue with the community.
We have several avenues to accomplish this goal:
Speakers' Bureau
We are available to speak to church groups, neighborhood associations,
clubs and community groups!
