Under the leadership of Chief Assistant City Attorney Maria Bee, the Litigation Division manages affirmative litigation brought by the Oakland City Attorney’s Office against outside actors and responds to litigation matters brought against the City of Oakland.
Under the supervision of COO Dara Wiseman, the Operations Team ensures the Office of the City Attorney is run efficiently and effectively to the benefit of City of Oakland staff and all City residents.
City Attorney Barbara J. Parker releases a periodic newsletter in which she provides updates about the work of the Office of the City Attorney as well as reflections on current local, statewide, and national legal topics of importance to Oakland residents.
