Amber Macaulay serves as a Senior Deputy City Attorney in the General Government & Finance Unit. During her tenure with the City Attorney’s Office, Amber has advised multiple City departments and boards and commissions. Currently, Amber provides legal advice to the Department of Finance and other City departments on a wide range of issues, including municipal finance and City tax matters, state and local open government laws, municipal contracting, and election law matters. Amber serves as parliamentarian for the City Council’s Finance & Management Committee and Rules & Legislation Committee.
Amber earned her undergraduate degree from the University of San Francisco and her law degree from the University of California Hastings College of the Law (now University of California College of the Law, San Francisco).
