Garvey C. Vincent is a Neighborhood Law Corps Attorney with the City of Oakland’s Affirmative Litigation team.

Mr. Vincent previously worked as an associate with the Renne Public Law Group (RPLG) in San Francisco, where he worked on a broad range of municipal law matters. Garvey has provided legal advice and also worked on litigation related to constitutional, statutory, and legislative issues. Examples include matters related to the COVID19 pandemic, police accountability, Public Records Act requests, requirements for timely filing of government claims, and the Unruh Civil Rights Act.

Garvey is a graduate of University of California Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hasting College of the Law) and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Ethnic Studies from Santa Clara University. Garvey also was a judicial extern to the Honorable Jon B. Streeter, California Court of Appeal, First District.
