Kevin McLaughlin has been a Deputy City Attorney in the Oakland City Attorney’s Office since 2018, and a Supervising Deputy City Attorney since 2020. He regularly handles high–value and complex cases on behalf of the City, and supervises other deputies on litigation matters.
Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office, Mr. McLaughlin worked in both plaintiff and defense–side litigation, focused primarily on representation of public entities. He graduated with honors from UC Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law), and earned a B.A. in Communications from UC San Diego.
