Lesley Casto is a Deputy City Attorney in the Real Estate Unit of the Advisory Division.
Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office in 2022, Ms. Casto was the Director of Client Services and Legal Compliance at Habitat for Humanity East Bay/Silicon Valley (2012–2022) and practiced at Phelps Dunbar LLP (2000–2012). She provided legal and compliance oversight for affordable housing real estate transactions, served as borrower’s and lender’s counsel in real estate financing transactions, advised on complex title issues, and served as bond counsel and borrower’s counsel for public financing including private activity and general obligation bond issuances.
Ms. Casto received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics at University of Mississippi and earned her law degree from University of Mississippi, where she served as Articles Editor on the Journal of National Security Law.
