Meeti Sudame is a Deputy City Attorney in the Labor and Employment Unit of the Advisory Division.
Prior to joining the City Attorney’s Office in 2021, Ms. Sudame practiced labor law as an associate in–house counsel for Operating Engineers Local No. 3 in Alameda, where she represented public and private sector union members. Ms. Sudame has worked on a variety of matters including grievance arbitrations, unfair practice charges before PERB and NLRB, and appeals before the State Personnel Board. She also provided legal opinions on a variety of labor and employment matters, including wage and hour laws, contract negotiations, strikes and picketing, and employment discrimination.
Prior to joining the union, Ms. Sudame represented plaintiffs in personal injury and toxic tort cases in state and federal courts.
Ms. Sudame earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA and her law degree from the Temple University, Beasley School of Law.
